Michelin Latitude Tour HP UTQG 440 A A
Compare and Rate Your Tyre on its Treadwear, Traction, and Temperature

440 A A

• 440 Treadwear:
This grade represents the tyre's expected life/duration, ranging between 100 to 1000. Usually, the higher the treadwear rating, the longer the tyre life.

• A Traction:
This grade represents the tyre's capability to stop on wet asphalt and pavement. Ratings are expressed in letter form, with AA being the highest and C as the lowest.

• A Temperature:
This grade represents the tyre's heat resistance ability, with A as the highest and C as the lowest. Heat build-up causes the rubber to break down faster, which can cause blowouts. The higher the temperature rating, the longer the tyre life and the higher the speed rating.

Michelin OEM Tyres

The Latitude Tour HP is the chosen Original Equipment tyre of the BMW X5 since the 2000s and the Ford Explorer. It is also used as original equipment for luxury cars from Porsche, Lexus and many others.

OEM or "original equipment manufacturer", means that Michelin's engineers worked with these companies to design a tyre model specifically for a brand new vehicle model.

Each OEM tyre is designed and repeatedly tested by car manufacturer engineers to ensure it meets the maximum performance, safety, and fuel efficiency parameters that will best benefit the vehicle.

Michelin Run-Flat Tyre

A Run-flat tyre will allow you to keep driving safely even with a puncture.

There is no need for a spare tyre, and you can get to the nearest petrol station without changing your flat tyre at the side of the road.

Michelin's ZERO PRESSURE™ Run-flat technology allows you to drive up to 80 km after a puncture at a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

Each Michelin ZERO PRESSURE™ tyre features a self-supporting reinforced sidewall so the tyre won't collapse and slip off the rim.

The Latitude Tour HP is a Michelin ZERO PRESSURE™ tyre

Yokohama Geolandar G055 Blue Earth

The Yokohama Geolandar SUV HT G055 is an all-season highway terrain tyre specially designed for compact SUVs. It offers a long-lasting tread life & improved fuel efficiency and is almost evenly matched with the Michelin Latitude Tour HP in all performance aspects.

Goodyear Wrangler HP AllWeather

The Goodyear Wrangler HP All Weather tyre is an all-season, premium highway tyre designed for 4x4's, sport and light trucks. Like the Latitude Tour HP, it promises supreme safety and comfort whatever the weather - though it falls slightly behind the Michelin for snow and ice grip.

Kumho Road Venture APT KL51

The Kumho Road Venture APT KL 51 is an SUV and 4WD tyre that offers exceptional mileage. It beats the Michelin in almost all performance factors but can't compete with the Latitude Tour HP's snow and ice performance.

Futuristic

With their eye on the future, Michelin continuously explores new ways to produce tyres, including 3D printed tyres, airless tyres, 100% puncture-free tyres and other customisable tyre options that will maintain the robust construction and reliability they are known for.

Lifestyle

Michelin Tyres Australia continues to support Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) by reducing the volume of end-of-life (EOL) tyres disposed of in the landfill or dumped illegally which negatively impacts the environment. As a brand, it is also still running the Michelin Star Guides.

Motorsport

Michelin is the tyre partner for the 100% electric ABB Formula-E championship and has triumphed numerous times at the Le Mans 24-hour race. It is also the sole tyre supplier to MotoGP™, the premier class of motorcycle Grand Prix racing.

Michelin Pilot Sport PS3

The Michelin Pilot Sport PS3 is a summer tyre meant for hard-core driving enthusiasts. It features the same Michelin safety and comfort standards found in the Latitude Tour HP but does not have its all-weather capabilities.

Michelin Agilis

The Michelin Agilis is a light truck tyre that gets increasingly stronger the longer it lasts. It is also a fuel-efficient tyre like the Latitude Tour Hp, and meant for driving on smooth open highways, but can't match its snow and ice driving abilities.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Just like the Pilot Sport 4, The Super Sport is a High-performance tyre for drivers with the need for speed. However, expect the Super Sport to last 2x longer than others thanks to its Bi-compound derived from the Le-Mans 24-hour endurance race while the Pilot Sport 4 uses Formula E inspired compound.
